Share:Both Premier League clubs have emerged as keen suitors for the 20-year-old Brazilian defender, Lucas Beraldo, as reported by Fichajes. The young defender’s noteworthy performances for São Paulo have captured the attention of these two Premier League giants, prompting speculation about potential moves in the upcoming weeks.
Beraldo’s contract with the Brazilian club extends until December 2028, placing São Paulo in a comfortable position with no immediate pressure to part ways with the talented defender. However, should either Arsenal or Liverpool decide to pursue the player in the January transfer window, it’s expected that a premium fee will be involved.
Liverpool’s interest in Beraldo aligns with their strategic need to secure a quality central defender, especially with Joel Matip’s contract set to expire in the summer. The young Brazilian could serve as a solid, long-term investment for the Reds, providing an opportunity for further development and the realization of his significant potential.
On the Arsenal front, the Gunners are actively seeking a promising young defender to complement William Saliba in the heart of their defense. With a burgeoning young squad, a move for Beraldo would fit seamlessly into Arsenal’s plans.
