The 23-year-old Cameroonian defender has been making waves in the Turkish league and is seemingly on the radar of the North London giants, as they seek to bolster their right-back position.
Arsenal’s interest in Boey is partially driven by the unfortunate and extended injury layoff of Jurrien Timber earlier in the season. The Dutchman’s absence has left the club in need of additional cover in the right-back position, and Boey has emerged as a potential solution.
Fotospor, as reported by Sport Witness , has claimed that Arsenal’s scouting team has been diligently tracking Boey’s performances. This implies that the Premier League outfit is genuinely considering the young talent as a solution to their right-back woes.
Boey’s impressive performances for Galatasaray haven’t gone unnoticed, and his potential transfer to a bigger club in a more competitive league is becoming increasingly likely. Arsenal’s interest in him is indicative of his growing reputation as a promising right-back.
While Arsenal might have an edge in the race for Boey’s signature, it’s highly likely that other top clubs will also be monitoring his progress closely. The 23-year-old’s skill set and adaptability make him an attractive target for clubs seeking defensive reinforcements, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a competitive bidding war for his services in the near future.
