Share:The Gunners have been closely monitoring Evanilson’s recent standout performances, and according to sources, they are seriously contemplating making a substantial offer.
This season, the Brazilian forward has left an indelible mark at Porto, drawing comparisons to the likes of Robert Lewandowski due to his impressive goal-scoring record. Football Transfers suggests that Arsenal sees Evanilson as a worthwhile investment, justifying the hefty price tag attached to the 24-year-old.
Arsenal currently faces challenges in the attacking department, with Gabriel Jesus experiencing a dip in form, and uncertainties surrounding Eddie Nketiah’s effectiveness as a squad player. Jesus’s injury concerns have not only affected his own performance but have also led to increased playing time for Nketiah.
Evanilson’s remarkable statistics, boasting 15 goals and five assists in 22 appearances this season, have undoubtedly left an impression on the Arsenal camp. Despite the considerable financial commitment for a player yet to prove himself in one of Europe’s premier leagues, Arsenal appears convinced that Evanilson could be a valuable upgrade.
While the €75 million price tag may raise eyebrows, there is speculation that the investment could turn out to be a bargain in the long run if Evanilson continues to develop and fulfills his immense potential on the pitch.
Arsenal seems to be banking on the prospect of securing a future star who could make a significant impact in the top tier of European football.
