Arsenal is reportedly eyeing Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo, who, at 20, has netted 21 goals for Santos this year.
Share:According to reports from Goal, the initial valuation of Leonardo was set at €15 million, but the recent relegation of Santos may potentially lower his price tag. This presents Arsenal with an enticing opportunity to secure a promising player at a potentially reduced cost.
Described as a tremendous young prospect, Leonardo could emerge as a solid, long-term investment for Arsenal. Acquiring a player of his caliber for less than the initially quoted €15 million could prove to be a significant coup for the club. Mikel Arteta’s managerial prowess could play a crucial role in nurturing Leonardo’s potential, positioning him as a quality striker for the Gunners.
The necessity for added firepower in the final third is evident for Arsenal, and the 20-year-old Brazilian could offer the goal-scoring prowess they seek. While Gabriel Jesus has been a valuable asset, his goal-scoring record is not prolific. Leonardo, with his goal-scoring ability, has the potential to fill this void.
A move to the Premier League would undoubtedly mark a substantial leap for the Brazilian striker. Eager to challenge himself at the highest level, regular playtime in the Premier League could significantly expedite Leonardo’s overall development, making this potential transfer a pivotal moment in his burgeoning career.
