It remains to be seen whether the Midlands club can negotiate a satisfactory deal with the German outfit in the days ahead. Nevertheless, Doku stands as a viable option for the Premier League side, possessing the potential to thrive in English football.
Doku’s impressive performances for Rennes last season, which yielded seven goals and four assists across various competitions, have marked him as a rising talent in European football. With his exceptional pace and flair, the Belgian prodigy could be a valuable addition to Aston Villa’s attacking arsenal, providing much-needed support for star striker Ollie Watkins.
As Aston Villa prepares for the challenges of European football in the upcoming season, bolstering their squad depth and quality is a priority. Strengthening their attacking options is particularly crucial, and the pursuit of players like Doku exemplifies the club’s ambition to make significant strides in the transfer market this summer.
