Barcelona is exploring the possibility of a last-minute loan move in the transfer market, specifically eyeing a midfielder from Tottenham due to Gavi’s season-ending ACL injury.

According to sources at Todo Fichajes , Barcelona has expressed interest in Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso. However, the financial challenges faced by Barcelona may pose a stumbling block to completing the deal. While Spurs are inclined to sell the 27-year-old Argentine, whose current contract has only 18 months remaining, Barcelona’s financial constraints limit them to pursuing a loan move in the current transfer window.
The report indicates that Lo Celso is receptive to the idea, particularly since he hasn’t featured prominently in Ange Postecoglou’s plans this season, making only 10 appearances in the Premier League. During these outings, Lo Celso managed to contribute with two goals and two assists.
A move could prove beneficial for Lo Celso’s career, given that his time at Tottenham has not unfolded as planned. However, the likelihood of Barcelona securing the transfer this month appears slim, given the intricacies involved in navigating their financial challenges.
