Barcelona FC is reportedly eyeing the re-signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Chelsea during the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, the Spanish club is said to prefer acquiring the Gabonese striker on a free transfer, and could capitalize on the situation if Chelsea decides to terminate Aubameyang’s contract.
According to sources cited by Football Insider , Barcelona is eager to have Aubameyang back in their squad, but is unwilling to fork out any transfer fees to Chelsea. Instead, they hope to secure his services through a free transfer, a possibility that may be feasible given the circumstances surrounding the player’s current situation at Chelsea.
Moreover, Aubameyang himself is apparently ready to help facilitate a move to Barcelona by taking a pay cut, further fueling speculation of his potential transfer to the Catalan giants.
