Notably, Barcelona’s President, Joan Laporta, enjoys a strong rapport with super-agent Jorge Mendes, who happens to represent Neves. Mendes has previously assured Barcelona that he can orchestrate a deal for the talented midfielder during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Laporta himself has been vocal about his admiration for Neves, viewing him as an ideal replacement for stalwart Sergio Busquets.
