The news, initially brought to light by Footmercato, has sent ripples through the footballing world, with fans and pundits speculating on Dembélé’s future.
With his current contract at Barcelona set to expire at the conclusion of the upcoming season, the French forward’s future has been a subject of much speculation. While talks of a contract extension between the player and the Catalan club are ongoing, Dembélé’s potential availability has garnered the attention of several interested parties.
Among those vying for his signature, Paris Saint-Germain, long admirers of Dembélé’s talents, have been linked with a potential move. However, it is Al Nassr who emerged as serious contenders, demonstrating their intent with a concrete offer.
Al Nassr reportedly indicated their willingness to meet Dembélé’s €50 million release clause, a significant gesture in itself. In addition to that, they went above and beyond expectations, offering an astonishing €200 million over a span of five years to entice the Frenchman away from the Camp Nou.
Despite the staggering financial package put forth by Al Nassr, Dembélé has apparently decided to rebuff the move, opting to explore the possibility of extending his stay at Barcelona instead. This development has left the Saudi club disappointed and reaffirms the player’s commitment to his current club.
