Share:Barcelona’s star striker, Robert Lewandowski, has reportedly been declared fit to start in the upcoming La Liga fixture against Athletic Club, according to sources at SPORT.
The news comes as a huge boost for the Catalan giants, who have been missing the prolific Polish striker since he picked up a hamstring injury during their La Liga clash against UD Almeria in the final week of February.
Lewandowski’s absence was sorely felt during Barcelona’s recent matches, including their Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg clash against Real Madrid and their La Liga encounter against Valencia over the weekend.
However, the 34-year-old’s return to the squad couldn’t have come at a better time, as Barcelona prepares to face off against Athletic Club later this week.
Lewandowski’s incredible goal-scoring record speaks for itself, and his presence on the pitch will be a major boost for Barcelona’s attack as they continue to push for the La Liga title this season.
