Bayern Munich are said to have an interest in acquiring Illan Meslier, the Leeds United goalkeeper and target for Chelsea.

The Bundesliga giants find themselves in a goalkeeper conundrum due to Manuel Neuer’s prolonged injury absence, making Meslier an intriguing prospect.
Recent reports from Football Insider suggest that Bayern has escalated its interest in the French shot-stopper, recognizing the potential he possesses between the posts. In contrast, Chelsea’s interest, while more subdued, remains in the background for now. Meslier’s market value is estimated at a respectable £25 million, underlining the value he could bring to any potential suitors.
For Bayern, the allure of securing Meslier’s services could lie in his ability to serve as an interim solution in Neuer’s absence. Despite Leeds’ relegation last season, Meslier’s individual prowess stood out during his tenure at Elland Road, justifying Bayern’s consideration.
As for the Premier League side, Chelsea is navigating a turbulent start to the Premier League season, having secured just one point from an available six and conceding four goals in their opening two fixtures. The arrival of Robert Sanchez from Brighton provides some reinforcement, yet the departures of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy leave room for potential additions, such as Meslier.
