Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City has emerged as a potential target for Bayern Munich after missing out on Declan Rice.
Share:In the wake of Arsenal’s imminent capture of Rice, Bayern Munich has shifted its focus to bolstering their midfield options. One player who has caught their attention is Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City. While Phillips may not possess the same awe-inspiring passing range or explosive qualities as the West Ham superstar, his tenacious work rate and defensive prowess make him a valuable asset.
At 27 years old, Phillips finds himself in the prime of his career but frustratingly confined to a benchwarmer role at the star-studded Manchester City. His undeniable abilities are being criminally underutilized in what is arguably the most talent-laden club in the world.

A move to Bayern Munich would not only provide him with an opportunity to compete for major silverware but also grant him a chance to play a pivotal role in the club’s future successes.
However, there remains a potential obstacle to this transfer. Bayern Munich boasts considerable depth in midfield, which could pose a challenge for Phillips to secure a regular starting position. Nevertheless, the allure of joining a prestigious club like Bayern, known for their rich history and consistently strong performances, may be too enticing for the English midfielder to ignore.
Bayern Munich’s interest in Phillips reflects their desire to strengthen their midfield department and diversify their options. With Thomas Tuchel now wielding a significant influence over squad composition, the German manager might be inclined to orchestrate this transfer to reinforce his team’s midfield capabilities.
