With the Gunners under the stewardship of Mikel Arteta aiming to secure their first Premier League title in almost two decades, sporting director Edu has taken up the task of strengthening the squad for the upcoming campaign.
According to credible sources, central midfield is deemed as a top priority for Arsenal. The highly coveted West Ham captain and England international, Declan Rice, remains a primary target for the club, with Arsenal willing to pay north of £100 million for his services. Furthermore, Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Barcelona’s Raphinha have also emerged as prospective targets for the north London side.
Adding to the list of potential options, TEAMtalk report highlights Arsenal’s interest in Tielemans, who is soon to be a free agent. The Belgium international has reportedly attracted the attention of Arsenal, and initial discussions with the player’s representatives have already taken place. However, despite Arsenal’s admiration for the 25-year-old, it is believed that the club has backed away from pursuing the midfielder due to his hefty wage demands.
