The Blues are believed to be on the hunt for a new forward this summer, but are facing financial constraints due to fair play regulations, as well as a shortage of potentially available world-class number nines.
Despite having spent an astonishing £600 million on transfers, Chelsea still finds itself without a prolific striker, which has led to the club turning its attention to Mane as a solution to its current crisis. The Senegalese international is said to be on the radar of the West London club following a difficult season at Bayern Munich, which is expected to end with a summer transfer.
As reported by Football Insider last week, Liverpool has no intention of re-signing Mane, as the club’s priority is to strengthen its midfield and defense.
Meanwhile, Chelsea is reportedly considering the possibility of luring Mane away from Bayern, who are seeking to recoup most of the £27 million (rising to £35 million with add-ons) paid to Liverpool last summer.
Chelsea has also been keeping tabs on Victor Osimhen as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
Nonetheless, with the club still searching for a prolific goal scorer, the potential acquisition of Mane could prove to be a game-changer for the Blues, and would certainly raise eyebrows across the footballing world.
