Having found his stride at Borussia Monchengladbach, Kone has undoubtedly emerged as one of the most talented midfielders in European football. His current spell has been marked by notable productivity, leading to growing speculation that his club might be open to his departure next summer, with a price tag of approximately £26 million.
Insider information from Christian Falk of the Bild suggests that the young midfielder is a prime target for both Real Madrid and Chelsea. While the Spanish giants are known for their ability to attract top talents, Chelsea’s interest in Kone signals their determination to bolster their ranks in the midfield department.
With the Blues currently lacking a defensive midfielder, the acquisition of Kone could prove to be a shrewd move if their pursuits of Declan Rice or Moises Caicedo fall through. As a player of immense potential, Kone possesses the necessary qualities to develop into a commanding figure in the heart of the pitch.
Furthermore, securing Kone’s signature would not only strengthen Chelsea’s squad, but it would also deal a blow to their direct competitors. Should the club successfully land the talented midfielder next summer, it would undoubtedly be a steal from their rivals, positioning them in a more advantageous position.
