Turkish Side Fernebache has been offered the chance to sign Chelsea’s Calum Hudson-Odoi this summer transfer window.
Share:Turkish club Fenerbahce has reportedly been approached with an offer concerning the services of Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, as disclosed by sources close to the matter and subsequently covered by the Turkish outlet,Tavkim Newspaper.
This move comes in the wake of indications from within Chelsea that the 22-year-old winger’s prospects within the club appear to be dwindling under the discernment of their current manager, Mauricio Pochettino. Pochettino’s purported lack of conviction in Hudson-Odoi’s potential to contribute significantly to the team’s future endeavors has seemingly paved the way for exploratory conversations with prospective suitors.
Hudson-Odoi, who spent the previous season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, evidently hungers for a more consistent role in competitive football, which has fueled his desire to part ways with Chelsea. Such aspirations have evidently put him at odds with the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea, for their part, have reportedly affixed a price tag of £8 million to the English forward, a valuation that has prompted reservations from Nottingham Forest, another party reportedly intrigued by his acquisition.
It is noteworthy that the impending culmination of Hudson-Odoi’s existing contract, coupled with his considerable weekly wage of £120,000, has propelled Chelsea towards earnestly seeking a resolution, particularly if the player’s involvement in the forthcoming season is projected to be minimal.
Ascertaining the Turkish club’s stance, Fenerbahce is believed to be mulling over the prospect of tendering a formal proposal. While no definitive decision has been arrived at, it remains evident that the club’s managerial echelons are in the process of carefully weighing their options.
