Former Arsenal player Paul Merson predicts that his old team will secure a victory in their upcoming Premier League match against Everton.
Share:As the Premier League continues to heat up, former Arsenal legend Paul Merson has voiced his support for the North London club ahead of their crucial encounter against Everton.
Despite being five points clear of second-placed Manchester City, the Gunners have one less match under their belt, but Merson is confident that Mikel Arteta’s men have what it takes to secure all three points at Goodison Park.
This match will also mark Sean Dyche’s debut as manager of the Merseyside-based club. With Arsenal eager to maintain their top position on the table, and Everton hoping to make a statement under their new leadership, this match is shaping up to be an exciting showdown.
“I think this is a different game now – it isn’t a foregone conclusion anymore.
Arsenal have made some great signings. Leandro Trossard is a very good squad player who can come on and won’t weaken the team at all. ”
Merson was also quick to highlight the impact of Arsenal’s recent acquisition, Jorginho. The former Chelsea man has quickly established himself as a key player for the Gunners, and Merson believes that he was a solid pick-up by technical director Edu.
“Jorginho is a winner with bundles of experience.”
“Two years ago, people were wondering when England was going to produce a player like that. He has slowed down, but he will help this team. He knows he won’t play every week, and that helps as well.”
“Everton are in trouble, and I don’t see how Sean Dyche can turn them around. He can make them hard to beat, but they need to start winning matches. I’ve never seen a club in a relegation battle weakening its team in the transfer market – it’s shocking! I can’t believe what they’ve done.”
The Former Arsenal Man went on to predict Arsenal Vs Everton scoreline as 3-0 win for the league leaders.
With the season reaching a crucial stage, all eyes will be on Goodison Park as two heavyweights collide.
