“I think Chelsea will be there. Some crucial financial points to sort out first before saying ‘Ok, we go for him’,” Romano remarked, suggesting that the transfer is more a matter of ‘when’ than ‘if’.
Victor Osimhen has been a revelation in Serie A, with his impressive goal-scoring prowess and athleticism catching the eye of many of Europe’s top clubs.
Chelsea, in particular, has been linked with the Nigerian international as they look to bolster their attacking options.
The Blues have struggled in front of goal in recent seasons and view Osimhen as the ideal candidate to lead their line and reignite their offensive power.
Romano’s comments hint at Chelsea’s serious intent but also underline the complexities of modern football transfers.
Negotiating a deal for a player of Osimhen’s caliber involves not just agreeing on a transfer fee with Napoli but also navigating through agent fees, personal terms, and performance-related bonuses.
These “crucial financial points” must be meticulously worked out to satisfy all parties involved.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen is emblematic of the club’s ambition to return to the pinnacle of English and European football.
Securing a player of his quality would be a significant statement of intent and could propel the team towards achieving their goals in the coming seasons.
Fans will be eagerly awaiting further updates, hoping that the financial intricacies can be swiftly resolved to welcome Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.
