Gary Neville has advised Arsenal to concentrate solely on their upcoming match against Southampton on Friday night in order to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League and hold off Manchester City’s challenge for the title.

Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville has advised the Gunners to stay grounded and concentrate solely on their upcoming match against Southampton, instead of getting distracted by the prospect of their crucial match against City next week. Speaking on his Podcast , Neville urged Arsenal to avoid any slip-ups against Southampton, who are currently languishing in the bottom half of the table, and instead focus on extending their lead at the top to seven points.
Although Arsenal have faltered in their last two matches with draws against Liverpool and West Ham, Neville is confident that they can bounce back from their recent setbacks. “It’s a wobble but you can recover from wobbles,” he stated. “The main thing is they don’t fall off the bike – and that would mean dropping points against Southampton at home. So be solid, get seven points clear and the Man City game at the Etihad will be a once-in-a-lifetime game that will take care of itself.”
Indeed, Arsenal’s upcoming match against Southampton presents an opportunity for them to regain their momentum and reaffirm their title credentials. While City are set to face Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend, Arsenal can steal a march on their rivals by securing a victory over the Saints.
