Inter Milan is reportedly contemplating a January transfer for Anthony Martial, who has struggled at Manchester United this season with just one goal and one assist in 13 Premier League appearances.
Share:Martial’s nearly decade-long tenure at Old Trafford has been marred by injuries and inconsistency, leading to suggestions that Manchester United may be willing to part ways with him at the end of the season. Although his contract is set to expire, there is a clause that could allow the club to extend it until the conclusion of the next season.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, is actively considering a January bid for the French forward. With Martial free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with other clubs as the transfer window opens, Inter sees him as a potential addition to bolster their attacking options, as reported by Gazzetta.
The situation prompts questions about Manchester United’s stance on Martial. Manager Erik ten Hag does not seem to view him as a pivotal player, and with fans calling for a squad reset, parting ways with players like Martial could be a strategic move for the Red Devils.
