During the game, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher remarked that Partey’s display was the worst he had ever seen from the midfielder, despite his solid performances throughout the season. Carragher pointed out that Partey was not up to speed and seemed off his game.
“Thomas Partey’s been fantastic this season for Arsenal, but this is the worst I’ve seen him play. He’s just not at the races at all,” he said.
Unfortunately, Arsenal was unable to hold onto their 2-0 lead, and as a result, their hopes of winning the league took a significant hit. Partey’s poor performance was one of the factors that contributed to Arsenal’s disappointing result. Given his recent form, his poor showing was unexpected and a cause for concern for Arsenal fans.
As the season draws to a close, Arsenal will need Partey to regain his form if they hope to finish strong and achieve their objectives. The Ghanaian international has been a standout performer for the Gunners this season, and the team will be hoping that his subpar performance against West Ham was just a blip in an otherwise excellent campaign.
