Juventus are said to be in Barcelona’s Ousmanne Dembele as they look to bolster their squad for the next season.
Share:Juventus is reportedly eyeing a deal for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele this summer, according to Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb. The deal would be worth €50 million, and would be dependent on Barcelona securing the signature of Lionel Messi.
Dembele, who has struggled with fitness and attitude issues throughout his career, has recently been in the best form of his career, thanks in part to the influence of Xavi Hernandez. The Frenchman has been a regular for both Barcelona and the French national team, amassing eight goals and seven assists in 28 appearances so far this season.
However, with just 18 months left on his contract, Barcelona is looking to tie him to a new deal, which has piqued the interest of several high-profile clubs, including Juventus.
Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus’ manager, is reportedly keen to secure the services of a top-class winger in the summer transfer window, as Angel Di Maria, who has been a key player for the club, is nearing the end of his career and may leave at the end of the season.
Juventus is expected to undergo significant changes in the summer, and the addition of Dembele would be a major coup for the club. The Frenchman’s recent form suggests that he could be a valuable asset for Juventus, and his signing would demonstrate the club’s continued ambition to compete at the highest level.
