Juventus has emerged as a potential suitor for Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez, according to a recent report from Spanish publication Fichajes. The Serie A giants are said to be intrigued by Vazquez’s versatility, which has been a notable feature of his gameplay.
Lucas Vazquez, aged 32, has demonstrated his ability to excel in various roles on the field. He is not only a dependable defensively-minded right-back but has also proven his worth in more advanced positions.
Massimiliano Allegri, the manager of Juventus, has expressed a keen interest in bringing Vazquez to Turin, recognizing the value his adaptability could bring to the team, the Italian side also had eyes for him in the summer transfer window but a deal failed to materialize.
The likelihood of this transfer materializing hinges on Lucas Vazquez’s intentions regarding his future at the Santiago Bernabeu. His current contract with Real Madrid extends until 2025. However, with no La Liga starts in the current season, Vazquez may be contemplating a move to secure more playing time elsewhere.
Juventus finds itself in a predicament with Mattia De Sciglio, their only recognized right-back, sidelined due to injury. This situation underscores the urgency of Allegri’s pursuit of one of Europe’s most versatile and seasoned players in Lucas Vazquez.
