Japan Grand Prix took on Sunday, March 29, 2026 before Formula One went on one month break as two races this season have been canceled due to the tension in Middle East.
Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grand Prix were scheduled to take place in April.
Before heading into the break, Kimi Antonelli celebrated his second in a row Grand Prix win as he came first in Japan.
Antonelli currently leads the drivers’ championship.
Taking to Instagram, the Italian wrote: “P1 in Suzuka!! ❤️🇯🇵
“I’m so proud of the team for such a strong weekend in a special place like Suzuka.
“Lucky with how things played out with the safety car, but the pace was mega and we made a very good recovery after the bad start.
With a long break now, there’s plenty of time to work on my starts and come back stronger 💪🏻
“Thank you so much to all the people that are making this season special, both in Brackley and Brixworth, the fans at home and my family. Grazie!!
“See you all very soon ❤️”.
