Maurizio Sarri, the coach of Biancocelesti, has expressed his firm belief that his squad requires significant reinforcements. He aims to bolster Lazio’s ranks with at least four or five new signings, ensuring adequate squad depth to compete on various fronts.
Lazio’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League has undoubtedly provided them with a financial boost, enabling them to be more ambitious in the transfer market. Furthermore, the recent departure of sporting director Igli Tare signifies the club’s commitment to meeting Sarri’s demands and ambitions.
As per reputable sources such as La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio is actively assessing the feasibility of a potential move for Jorginho. The Italian midfielder made the switch from Chelsea to Arsenal during the January transfer window.
It comes as no surprise that Sarri, having previously worked with Jorginho at both Napoli and Chelsea, holds the 31-year-old midfielder in high regard. However, it is important to note that Jorginho’s wage demands are not the sole factor causing concern for Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
