Rafael Leao has been a hot topic of conversation as the Portuguese attacker has been continously linked to a move out of Italy.
Share:Liverpool and Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on the 24-year-old Portuguese international, with plans possibly brewing for a summer transfer.
As for Liverpool, their interest in acquiring a quality attacker shouldn’t come as a surprise, particularly in light of the uncertain future of their talisman, Mohamed Salah.
The 31-year-old Egyptian was the subject of persistent transfer rumors to Saudi Arabia during the last summer window, but Liverpool managed to keep hold of him. However, it’s expected that these clubs may come knocking again at the end of the current season, and Liverpool might entertain offers for Salah, whose contract will be entering its final year in 2025. To avoid losing him on a free transfer, a substantial offer might be considered.
Should Liverpool opt for such a move, they would need to find a suitable replacement, and Rafael Leão is undoubtedly a name that fits the bill. Known for his pace, flair, and goal-scoring ability, Leão could inject new dynamism into Liverpool’s attacking lineup.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, are also in need of attacking reinforcements following the departure of Karim Benzema. The Madridistas are no strangers to making marquee signings, and Leão’s name has surfaced as a potential solution to bolster their attack.
Currently under contract with AC Milan until the summer of 2028, Leão comes with a hefty price tag, valued at €150 million. His potential acquisition promises to be a captivating narrative in the upcoming transfer market, with both Liverpool and Real Madrid keeping a close watch on this talented Portuguese prospect.
