Liverpool is in talks with Fulham over a potential move for left-back Antonee Robinson, aiming to address a shortage caused by injuries to Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.
Share:This development, as reported by 90min, comes on the heels of setbacks for key players Andy Robertson, who suffered a dislocated shoulder, and Kostas Tsimikas, sidelined with a broken collarbone.
The predicament has prompted Jurgen Klopp to deploy Joe Gomez in the left-back role, but with both Robertson and Tsimikas facing extended absences, Liverpool is actively seeking reinforcements. Antonee Robinson has emerged as a potential solution, with the 26-year-old left-back reportedly expressing openness to a move to Anfield.
According to 90min’s sources, Liverpool is currently in the process of negotiating an agreement with Fulham for Robinson’s services. While the club would ideally have reinforced other positions, the pressing left-back crisis demands immediate attention. Relying solely on Gomez in this role poses a significant risk, and the urgency to secure a suitable replacement like Robinson in the January transfer market is heightened by the potential jeopardy to Liverpool’s title bid this season if they wait for the return of Robertson and Tsimikas.
