According to sources , the Premier League champions are actively working to determine whether a deal can be struck with the Gunners over the transfer of the Scottish international.
Tierney’s playing time has taken a hit since the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer, and as a result, the 25-year-old is said to be open to a fresh challenge. It is understood that his name has appeared on a number of clubs’ radar, and Manchester City are among those exploring the possibility of bringing him to the Etihad.
While the terms of a potential deal have yet to be determined, Manchester City are said to be weighing up the cost of the transfer and whether Tierney would be interested in a move to the club. Guardiola has highlighted the full-back positions as an area that needs to be strengthened, and Tierney’s skillset and experience in the Premier League make him an attractive option for the reigning champions.
As the summer transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City will successfully secure the services of Kieran Tierney or if he will remain with Arsenal for the foreseeable future.
