According to the report by Mundo Deportivo (via Caught Offside), the club are keen on rewarding the German international with an improved salary for his exceptional displays over the past few seasons.
Gundogan has been in remarkable form, scoring four goals and providing one assist in recent matches. His contributions have played a significant role in City’s ascent to the top of the table in recent weeks.
Amid Gundogan’s contract expiring next month, Barcelona are expressing strong interest in the midfielder. However, City remain determined to secure a contract extension for their star under Pep Guardiola.
Barcelona firmly believe that Gundogan is the ideal candidate to strengthen their squad this summer. The Citizens are aware of the La Liga giants’ interest but hope that their proposed offering will be enticing enough to convince Gundogan to extend his stay at the club.
