Recent reports from the Daily Mail indicate that the Red Devils have engaged in internal discussions regarding the potential acquisition of Atalanta’s prolific frontman, Rasmus Hojlund.
While marquee names such as Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen have been frequently linked with the Old Trafford outfit, it appears that Hojlund has also caught their attention. The Danish talent, who plies his trade for the Italian side, has emerged as a viable option for the Manchester United hierarchy.
Hojlund’s notable achievements since joining Atalanta from Sturm Graz in a £15 million deal last summer have undeniably contributed to his growing allure.
The 32 appearances he has made across various competitions for the Italian outfit have yielded an impressive return of nine goals and three assists. Such numbers, coupled with his evident potential, have piqued the curiosity of the Manchester United decision-makers.
However, as with any prospective transfer, finances are a crucial aspect that cannot be disregarded. Atalanta, well aware of Hojlund’s rising stock, are reportedly demanding a hefty sum of £60 million for his services. While Manchester United possesses the financial muscle to compete in the transfer market, such a figure represents a considerable investment, even for a player of Hojlund’s caliber.
