Reports suggest that Manchester United is on the verge of completing a transfer deal for Kim Min-jae, the Napoli defender.
Share:In what could be a significant defensive reinforcement for Manchester United, reports indicate that the club is on the brink of finalizing a deal for Napoli’s highly-rated defender, Kim Min-jae. The South Korean’s impressive performances have triggered a £45 million buyout clause, leaving Europe’s top clubs on red alert.
Kim Min-jae’s debut season with Napoli, following his £15 million move, has been nothing short of exceptional. The commanding center-back has played a pivotal role in solidifying Napoli’s backline, ultimately leading the team to secure their first league title in over three decades.
Despite the departure of their key defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea last summer, Napoli’s defensive resilience remained intact, conceding a mere 25 goals – the lowest in the league. However, recent reports from Italian outlet Il Mattino suggest that Kim Min-jae harbors some doubts regarding a potential move to Old Trafford. Nevertheless, sources suggest that a deal between the two clubs is practically done.
Manchester United’s pursuit of Kim Min-jae comes as no surprise, as the Red Devils are actively seeking to bolster their defensive options. The South Korean’s imposing presence, combined with his exceptional defensive abilities, has caught the attention of top European clubs, all vying for his signature.
