Luke Shaw has allayed concerns about his availability for the FA Cup final by returning to training after his substitution in the match against Chelsea on Thursday.
Share:Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has put an end to the apprehensions surrounding his participation in the upcoming FA Cup final, following his swift return to training after being substituted in Thursday’s clash against Chelsea.
Shaw, who has been in scintillating form for the Red Devils this season, impressing both in the left-back position and when deployed as a center-back, was taken off at half-time during the emphatic 4-1 victory over the Blues at the hallowed grounds of Old Trafford. Notably, this triumph solidified United’s coveted spot in the highly coveted Champions League competition.
While Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag refrained from providing specific details about Shaw’s injury immediately after the match, indicating that the club required a 24-hour period to conduct a thorough assessment, recent photographs released by the club from a training session on Friday depict the English defender actively participating alongside his teammates without any apparent limitations.
This positive development suggests that Shaw may very well grace the pitch in the upcoming encounter against Fulham as United aims to secure a commendable third place finish in the Premier League standings this Sunday.
However, the even more encouraging news revolves around Shaw’s potential fitness for the highly anticipated FA Cup final against arch-rivals Manchester City at the iconic Wembley Stadium, scheduled for the following weekend.
