Manchester United is reportedly interested in experienced Porto striker Mehdi Taremi, who is also being eyed by Inter Milan.
Share:The Red Devils find themselves in a situation with limited attacking options, notably as young talent Rasmus Hojlund faces challenges in making a significant impact. Meanwhile, established players such as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are currently struggling to find form.
According to reports from Inter Live , Inter Milan is also keen on Taremi, considering him as a cost-effective option for their attacking needs. However, it is noted that Manchester United is actively seeking a player of a similar profile, potentially setting up a competitive race for the 31-year-old striker.
Taremi has garnered attention for his prolific goal-scoring record during his tenure at Porto. Nonetheless, the transition to a more competitive league at this stage of his career poses uncertainties regarding his performance.
For Manchester United, Taremi could offer a valuable alternative to Hojlund on a relatively short-term basis. Another appealing factor is Taremi’s financial viability, with the reported total package, including fees and wages, amounting to approximately €30 million over the next three years.
