Over the weeks, there has been rumors linking Arsenal’s midfielder, Jorginho with a move back to Italy with Juventus being the most popular name.
Share:In recent updates from Italy, it appears that the speculated move of Arsenal’s midfielder, Jorginho, to Juventus has hit a snag. Despite earlier indications that the talented player might be eyeing a return to Italy, the latest reports suggest that this transfer won’t materialize in the January window. This revelation holds, even as Jorginho finds himself on the fringes of Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.
According to reports from Sport Witness Arteta is resolute in retaining Jorginho in the midst of the season, ruling out any possibility of his departure. The Gunners secured Jorginho’s services from Chelsea less than a year ago, and the Italian international has proven to be a valuable asset, albeit not a consistent starter in his tenure in North London.
Given Arsenal’s midfield challenges, particularly the notable absence of Thomas Partey in the deep-lying role, there appears to be a significant role for Jorginho to play throughout the season.
The decision to keep him, despite limited game time, suggests that Arteta recognizes the inherent risks of parting ways with an experienced player mid-season. Fans are likely to find solace in Arteta’s commitment to retaining Jorginho, considering the potential impact on the team’s dynamics.
