The Magpies have inquired about signing Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth amid a challenging season.

The Magpies, under the management of Eddie Howe, are keen on strengthening their squad during the January transfer window.
In the wake of an intensified fixture schedule due to Champions League participation, several Newcastle players have been grappling with fatigue, prompting the club’s pursuit of reinforcements. The Telegraph reports that an official enquiry has been made to Bournemouth regarding the potential signing of striker Dominic Solanke this month.
Solanke, having netted 12 Premier League goals this season, stands as one of the top scorers, trailing only behind Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland. His impressive performance in the first half of the season has garnered attention, with Arsenal rumored to be admirers.
Despite Solanke’s prowess, Bournemouth is expected to be cautious about parting ways with their star player in the January transfer window, especially to a club currently just three places above them in the league standings.
As Newcastle gears up for a crucial clash against Manchester City this Saturday at St. James’ Park, the team is eager to secure their first league win in nearly a month. The encounter promises to be a challenging test for Eddie Howe’s side as they navigate a competitive season.
