Newcastle United Sets Sights on West Ham’s Brazilian Midfielder for Potential Transfer

Newcastle United has emerged as a potential suitor for West Ham United’s attacking midfielder, Lucas Paqueta. Reports from reputable Spanish source Fichajes indicate that the Magpies are prepared to dig deep into their pockets, with a rumored offer of around £70 million on the table.

Paqueta, known for his dynamic playing style and creative prowess, has enjoyed a successful debut season in English football since joining West Ham from Lyon last summer. His notable contributions played a pivotal role in West Ham’s recent conquest of the Europa Conference League.

While Newcastle has also been actively pursuing AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali, Paqueta has emerged as a compelling alternative to bolster their midfield ranks. The Brazilian playmaker could prove to be an ideal complement to compatriot Bruno Guimaraes, thus adding an exciting dynamic to Newcastle’s attacking prowess.

Nevertheless, West Ham will undoubtedly be reluctant to part ways with Paqueta, particularly amidst growing interest in their star midfielder, Declan Rice. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have all reportedly expressed their desire to secure Rice’s signature, putting West Ham in a precarious position.
