Nketiah’s admiration for the Ukrainian defender surfaced during a discussion on the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, where he was tasked with constructing his dream five-a-side team composed of past and present Arsenal players.
When it came to selecting his defensive options, Nketiah found himself torn between Gabriel Magalhaes and Zinchenko. While Gabriel’s physical dominance made a compelling case, Nketiah ultimately opted for Zinchenko due to his unparalleled technical ability, which he believed would enable him to dominate in the confines of a small-sided game.

Speaking highly of Zinchenko’s qualities, Nketiah weighed the pros and cons before making his decision.
“It’s a tough call, honestly. I had to choose between Zini and Gabriel. Gabriel brings that assertiveness and physical presence you need, but when it comes to five-a-side, Zini’s technical skills are just exceptional,”
Nketiah explained.
“So, I’m going to go with Zinchenko because, with him on my team, his composure with the ball brings a sense of tranquility.”
Nketiah’s recognition of Zinchenko’s technical mastery highlights the Ukrainian’s ability to thrive in fast-paced, small-sided encounters. His aptitude for quick, precise ball control and intricate passing undoubtedly makes him a formidable force in such condensed formats.
