Pep Guardiola names return date for John Stones from injury ahead of Tottenham clash
The Citizens will be in action for their next Premier League game at the weekend. Their opponents will be Antonio Conte’s Spurs.
Ahead of the meeting, Guardiola was asked to provide an update on Stones, who is currently out of action due to fitness issues.
“Three weeks, one month [out]. Unfortunately, a lot of games. Managers complain about a lot of games. Comes from World Cup. A few weeks he will be back,” Guardiola said, via Manchester Evening News.
City are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Premier League table, five points behind Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who are leading the race.
