Chelsea made a decisive move during the winter transfer window by securing a loan deal for the 23-year-old forward from Atletico Madrid. Despite displaying flashes of brilliance, Felix’s overall impact has been inconsistent, having managed just four goals in 20 appearances thus far.
Earlier reports had hinted at the possibility of Chelsea considering an extended loan agreement or a permanent acquisition of the Portugal international. However, it now appears that Pochettino has dismissed these options, making it abundantly clear that Felix does not feature in his plans for the club’s much-anticipated revival.
As the newly appointed manager of Chelsea, Pochettino is actively strategizing to breathe new life into the team following a lackluster campaign. Regrettably for Felix, he does not fit into the Argentine tactician’s vision for the squad’s future. Sources indicate that Pochettino has already communicated this decision to the young player, ensuring complete transparency about his intentions moving forward.
