Currently serving as the understudy to Lois Openda at RB Leipzig, Sesko is valued at around €50 million by the Bundesliga outfit. The 20-year-old exhibits a preference for a move to the Premier League, with Newcastle eyeing him as a possible long-term replacement for Callum Wilson, aligning with manager Eddie Howe’s vision for a younger squad.
Sesko’s potential arrival at Newcastle could set the stage for a fierce competition with Alexander Isak for the coveted striker role.
Despite the substantial financial infusion following Newcastle United’s 2022 takeover, Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations could impose constraints, prompting speculation about the necessity for the club to offload key players to maintain fiscal equilibrium.
