The news signals Real Madrid’s intention to retain Lunin as an integral part of their long-term project, despite Thibaut Courtois reclaiming his position as the first-choice goalkeeper next season.

It’s a strategic move that highlights Lunin’s valued presence at the club and their commitment to fostering his development.
Real Madrid’s decision to extend Lunin’s stay with a contract proposal, which had been hinted at two weeks prior by Romano, showcases the club’s adept planning and foresight in securing key players for their future endeavors.
As Lunin is poised to continue under the iconic white jersey, his role, even in the shadow of a star like Courtois, is emblematic of Real Madrid’s philosophy of blending emerging talent with experienced stalwarts to maintain their dominance both in Spain and across Europe.
This development not only cements Lunin’s status within the squad but also reaffirms Real Madrid’s strategic approach to squad depth and player loyalty.
