Share:It has come to light that Manchester United has thrown their hat into the ring in the race to secure the services of West Ham’s prized asset, Declan Rice, who is valued at an impressive £100 million.
According to reliable sources, Arsenal had initially taken the initiative by opening negotiations with a substantial £90 million offer for the 24-year-old midfield maestro. However, their ambitious bid now faces stiff competition from Manchester United, who have shown their readiness to meet West Ham’s demands and pay the full asking price.
This latest development was shared by football journalist Sami Mokbel in an update published by the reputable Daily Mail, as the summer transfer window looms large on the horizon.
As Arsenal gear up for their return to the prestigious UEFA Champions League next season, bolstering their squad is of paramount importance, particularly considering the impending departure of their key midfield figure, Granit Xhaka. Naturally, securing the services of Declan Rice has emerged as a primary objective for the Gunners.
However, there are now fresh concerns surrounding the North London club’s pursuit, as their offer reportedly falls £10 million short of West Ham’s valuation for the talented midfielder. As a result, Arsenal’s position as frontrunners in the Declan Rice sweepstakes may be in jeopardy.
