The Belgian has dropped form greatly since his return to Chelsea with the Blues now wishing to offload quickly.

Since his return to Inter, Lukaku is yet to impress at the level which convinced Chelsea to run back to the player they offloaded to Everton years ago.
Having also missed 110 days through injury in the last 8 months which is more than he has ever in the last 3-years is something that has given the medical team a great worry as they had thought his body to be stronger than that.
The Serie A side are yet to agree to any deal that will keep Lukaku beyond the agreed time at Inter Milan as they are now considering a return back to his club.
Blues on the other hand are desperately looking for suitors for the 29-year-old as his huge wage bill is now considered a threat to the plans Todd Boehly has for the Chelsea squad.
After signing Graham Potter, Todd Boehly clearly is in the run for a long term investment and with no hunger for overnight success the American and his consortium are more concerned on building a very deep squad that can cover properly during the absence of any.
However, this plan may have to wait as the Blues are still stuffing out 340k weekly to pay a player who isn’t contributing to their results in any way. Lukaku’s contract is still valid for the next 3-years and that means if not sold, Chelsea will keep paying the fee even if he sits on the bench as no club will be keen on taking a loan player with such huge wage.
Chelsea are currently weighing up possible ways to part ways with Romelu Lukaku after his failed return move.
