The Athletic journalist reveals Chelsea decision on Graham Potter future after Tottenham loss
The Blues continue their struggles both in the Premier League and at the European level under the ex-Brighton boss.
Sunday’s league game saw Chelsea defeated by Antonio Conte’s Spurs with a score of 2 – 0. As a result, the Blues are now sitting in 10th place on the table with 31 points.
Potter’s team also faced a loss to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 last week. It remains to be seen whether the team would manage to secure their place in the next stage of the top tier after the second leg versus the Bundesliga rivals.
Amid the recent struggles, there are talks over Potter’s possible sack. However, Johnson has now revealed Chelsea board are still committed to the current boss. They want to give him a chance to change the situation at Stamford Bridge.
#Chelsea are not planning to sack Graham Potter as things stand and will continue to give him time to turn results around.
