There are rumors circulating about the potential return of Joao Cancelo, to the Premier League.
Share:In recent transfer news, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo has emerged as a prime target for a return to the Premier League.
The 28-year-old full-back left the Etihad Stadium in January on an initial six-month loan deal, prompting widespread speculation regarding the circumstances surrounding his departure.
Cancelo’s sudden exit raised eyebrows, with many questioning whether there was an internal disagreement or underlying issue that led to the once mainstay full-back’s departure. While Bayern Munich, who had the option to purchase Cancelo for €70 million, considered the price tag excessive, they remain keen on retaining his services beyond the conclusion of his loan spell.
Despite their own financial struggles and their pursuit of re-signing Lionel Messi during the upcoming summer transfer window, Barcelona has been closely monitoring Cancelo’s situation.
According to 90min, the Catalan giants would enter the race for his signature if they could secure his services on an initial loan basis.
Moreover, Arsenal has also expressed interest in acquiring Cancelo’s talents. The Portugal international’s representatives have reportedly explored the possibility of a move to Real Madrid, a club renowned for their success in the Champions League.
