Tottenham have been in need of extra bodies upfront especially after losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.
Share:Tottenham Hotspur is currently immersed in advanced talks to secure the services of Santiago Gimenez, a standout striker regarded as one of Europe’s rising stars. This potential move, constituting a €50 million deal with Feyenoord, emerges as a strategic response to the void left by Harry Kane’s departure earlier this summer.
As per reliable sources, the 22-year-old Mexican sensation has been in scintillating form during the current season, notching an impressive tally of 20 goals and contributing three assists across 19 appearances. Feyenoord’s commendable position in the Dutch league, currently holding second place, owes much to Gimenez’s goal-scoring prowess.
Reports from Todo Fichajes indicate that Tottenham is poised to outmaneuver other keen suitors, including Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, in securing Gimenez’s signature. The competition for the talented striker underscores his desirability in the market.
While Chelsea, too, seeks reinforcements for their attacking front, with manager Mauricio Pochettino expressing the need for additional players following a recent defeat to Everton, Gimenez appears to have slipped through their grasp.
The potential completion of this €50 million deal would undoubtedly represent a significant and astute addition to Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham squad, bolstering their offensive capabilities for the challenges ahead.
