West Ham United to win

The Hammers bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend following an important 2-0 win over Wolves at the London Stadium. David Moyes’ side succumbed to a tight defeat at Everton before the international break and needed a reaction to that, of course, they got at home against the Wanderers. They will look to maintain the momentum against Fulham, who lost heavily 4-1 at home to Newcastle United, although they played the majority of the game with ten men.

Both teams to score

Both teams are good scoring teams. West Ham United have scored eight goals in their last four matches in all competitions while Fulham have notched seven goals in their last four games. The Hammers are averaging 2 goals per game and the Cottagers are averaging 1.75 goals per game. Both have good chances of scoring at least one goal each before the final whistle.

Over 2.5 goals

West Ham United’s backline is somewhat shaky. They have conceded seven goals and kept one clean sheet in their last six games in all competitions, averaging 1.16 goals per game. Fulham have conceded 13 goals in their last six games, averaging 2.16 goals per game. Looking at the stats here, both teams are likely to produce at least three goals.

Get Rich Quick

We talked about a reaction and keeping a momentum. Fulham were trounced by Newcastle United last weekend and as a result, they need a reaction against West Ham United, who are thinking about maintaining their momentum following their impressive 2-0 win over Wolves last weekend. Also, two of West Ham’s forwards suffered injury issues last time out, which would obviously weaken the Hammers chances of winning. This tie could be forced to settle in a score draw, an option with odds of 3.86 at 22bet.

West Ham United Team News

The Hammers could be without Jarrod Bowen, who’s been out injured with a wrist injury. He’s expected to return to action days after the Fulham game. He could return sooner than later though. David Moyes recently said of Bowen’s injury: ‘The physio just came over and said he’s done something to his finger and said it was pretty bad.’

Benjamin Johnson, who has been recovering from a thigh injury, has 50% chances of featuring against Fulham this weekend.

Maxwel Cornet has no return date from his calf/shin/heel injury but he’s currently being accessed by West Ham’s medical team. The coach said: ‘I’ve not had the chance to speak to the medical team yet, I’m not saying it’s a calf strain, but it looks like something to do with his calf.’

Nayef Aguerd will miss the clash with an ankle/foot injury as he’s expected to return midway through October.

Predicted Starting Lineup

Goalkeeper: Łukasz Fabiański

Defenders: Aaron Cresswell, Thilo Kehrer, Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson

Midfielders: Declan Rice, Tomáš Souček, Lucas Paqueta

Forwards: Michail Antonio, Saïd Benrahma, Gianluca Scamacca

Fulham Team News

Harry Wilson has been ruled out of the game with a knee injury and he’s expected to return to action next month. Fulham boss said in September: ‘Probably we expected him to be a bit more ready. But in 10 to 15 days, we can see him train, be more confident with the team and after, it’s up to him to get in shape.”

Nathaniel Chalobah was shown a straight red card last time out and will miss this weekend’s game through suspension. Antonee Robinson won’t partake in the game against West Ham due to an ankle injury but he’s expected to return to action later this month. Willian Borges Da Silva has 50% chances of recovering from a calf restrain in time for the trip.

Aleksandar Mitrovic, Fulham’s top goalscorer, could miss the game through an ankle injury. He has 50% chances of playing the game. His absence would heavily thwart whatever chances the Cottagers have to pull off an upset at West Ham.

Manor Solomon has no return date from his knee injury, Layvin Kurzawa as well, who has been nursing a knock. Kenny Tete has 50% chances of featuring.
