Ghana national team will be in the World Cup 2026 and ahead of the tournament here is their predicted XI.

This summer will be full of football as World Cup 2026 will take place jointly in United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

The tournament will kick off on June 11 and continue until July 19 with 48 qualified teams and 104 games.

The final will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA on Sunday, July 19.

Ghana national team are one of the qualified teams to participate in Mundial 2026.

The Black Stars will be making their fifth appearance in World Cups. Ghana’s best performance in Mundial was in 2010 when they reached the quarter-finals.

The national team are in Group L and will have their games played both in the US and Canada.

First game is against Panama at Toronto Stadium on June 17.

June 23: England vs. Ghana — Boston Stadium (Foxborough, Massachusetts)
June 27: Croatia vs. Ghana — Philadelphia Stadium

Ghana made their World Cup debut in 2006 and have since participated in four of the last five World Cups.

The Black Star’s current squad features players that play for top European clubs including Mohammed Kudus from Tottenham, Thomas Partey from Arsenal as well as Inaki Williams, who is currently one of the best players and plays for Athletic Bilbao.

Ghana’s current head coach is Otto Addo. Addo has both played for the national team in World Cup (2006) and coached the team during the 2022 World Cup and now will lead the Black Stars in Mundial 2026.

Addo’s side qualified for World Cup after winning Group I with 25 points from 10 matches.

During the qualifiers the coach mostly relied on expierenced players as well as let the emerging stars to shine.

The team was led by Jordan Ayew, who was appointed as the captain back in March 2025.

The national team had other standout players that Addo relied on during the qualifiers as his team included the likes of Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus as well as Antoine Semenyo and Ernest Nuamah.

Meanwhile, at the back, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu as well as Gideon Mensah and Alidu Seidu shone for Ghana and helped the team and conceded only 6 goals during the qualifiers.

Addo also had fresh call-ups for the national team who proved their worth in representing their country. One of the fresh call ups was Kojo Peprah Oppong, who earned his first senior call up.

Derrick Köhn and Benjamin Asare also made impressive starts for the national team.
