Carlos Queiroz has been appointed as the new head coach of Ghana national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Queiroz is known for his defensive style of structure. The Portuguese manager will likely use 4-1-4-1 or 4-3-3 formation for Black Stars in Mundial 2026.

Carlos Queiroz’s last experience as a head coach in a FIFA World Cup was at the 2022 tournament in Qatar as he was the head coach of Iran. During the tournament, Queiroz primarely used the 4-1-4-1 formation.
